Homeless Prevention

Limited funds are available for homeless prevention for families with children in Thurston County.  These funds are intended to assist families that have found themselves unable to pay the full rent amount for the month.

Families must be able to demonstrate that they will be able to pay rent the following month on their own, and that the landlord intends to continue renting to the household.

Families must have children living with them.

To be considered for assistance, you must have received a 3-day notice from the landlord.

On rare occasions we are able to help families with mortgage payments.

For more information, contact the Community Services office at (360) 664-2485.  Calls requesting assistance should be made on the 6th or 7th day of the month.
