  Housing Choice Vouchers

The Waiting List for the Voucher Program is CLOSED at this time.  Please check back for information on future plans to re-open the waiting list. 

 

  Mainstream Vouchers

There is no special application process for the Mainstream Program. Your answers to the questions on the Voucher application will help us determine your eligibility for this program. Simply complete the Voucher application form.

  Family Unification

Eligibility for this program is limited to families who are referred by staff at the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS).  If you are working with Child Protective Services (CPS) or other programs at DCFS, please talk to your worker about your possible eligibility for this program.

  Family Self-Sufficiency

This program is available only to a select group of households who are already receiving assistance under a Voucher Contract. Please e-mail a request for more information or talk to the Housing Specialist assigned to you at the Housing Authority.

  Martin Terrace Apartments

One- and two-bedroom apartments in urban Thurston County, outside the Lacey City limits.  To apply for tenancy, please complete the Voucher application and check your interest in these units.

  Uhler Apartments

Four one-bedroom apartments in downtown Olympia.  To apply for tenancy, please complete the Voucher application and check your interest in these units.

  Fleetwood Apartments

Studio apartments in downtown Olympia.  These units are limited to single, homeless individuals.  To apply for tenancy, please complete the Voucher application and check your interest in these units.

  Project-Based Voucher Units

Several apartments and single-family communities in Thurston County owned by not-for-profit housing providers have Voucher assistance attached to the units.  When a vacancy occurs at one of these properties, preference is given to applicants on the Voucher waiting list that have indicated an interest in living in one of these properties.

  Updating your application:

Once you submit your application, it is very important that we have current contact information for your household, particularly your current address.  Also, if your circumstances change to a degree that may affect your eligibility or priority for assistance you must report these changes.  To report a change of circumstance, you may pick up a Change of Circumstance form at our office, or download this form on-line.  To download this form, click on the download link below.  This download is in Adobe® PDF format.  In order to download and print out the form, you will need to have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ installed on your computer.  To obtain a FREE copy of this software click on the Adobe® link below.  Once you have downloaded the form, print it out on your printer and return it to our office by mail or in person.
